In modern computer terminology, we can see that the most productive means of deverbative nouns formation include: the terminological units with the specific suffixes -нн(я), -енн(я), -анн(я), expressing the meaning of objectified process; terms formed by zero suffixation, indicating mainly the status, the result, the object; a borrowed suffix -ція that indicates the result or consequence of the action. So verbal nouns have the potential to transmit different aspects of the actions; their correct use enables the most exact transfer of meaning of the term as well as avoiding homonymy, paronymy, polysemy, and unwanted synonymy. Key words: Ukrainian terminology, modern computer terminology, verbal nouns, suffixal way of terms formation, zero suffixation, deverbative nouns, perfect and imperfect form of verb.
