Peer review process:
The articles on scientific problems that fit the scope of the journal «Ukrainian sense / Український смисл» are accepted for publishing. The manuscript that is outside the scope of the journal or fails to meet the requirements of the edition can be immediately rejected by the Executive Editor.
The Editorial Board adheres to the global standards of transparency of peer reviewing, so it practices double-blind review of manuscripts: an author and a reviewer are not aware of the identities of each other. Their personal information is preliminarily removed from the texts of articles and file properties.
Articles are sent for reviewing to two independent experts. A reviewer studies the abstract of an article and either agrees or refuses to review the material obtained. In case of refusal, the Editorial Board appoints another reviewer.
A reviewer evaluates the scientific level of the article, filling in the «Review form», where he/ she makes comments. The expert can additionally upload the files with the corrected manuscript or materials that can be used during the further work at the article.
After filling in the «Review form», reviewers choose one of the proposed recommendations:
Upon completion of the peer review process, all the relevant information is sent to the author. The author makes changes to the manuscript and uploads its new version. If the manuscript is not returned within two months or the author does not notify the Editorial Board about the reasons for the delay, it is removed from the waiting list.
Reviewers reconsider the improved paper and make recommendations on the possibility of its publishing.
